Drive-in event

Springfield – Foster Memorial Church is holding its monthly Drive-In fundraising event on Saturday, January 8 from 1 pm to 3 pm in the church’s back parking lot. They will collect non-perishable food for the open pantry and new and lightly used jackets and costs for all ages. The church is located at 1791 Wilbraham Road in the Sixteen Acres section.

Pro-life vigil

Springfield – Catholics for the Unborn will be holding a pro-life vigil on Thursday, January 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Cathedral on State Street. The vigil begins with the Exhibition, the Recitation of the Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Adoration. At noon, there will be the Blessing followed by the daily Mass. Unlinked conference

Chicopee – The UNBOUND Ministry team at Mary’s House of Prayer, 202 East Main St., Chicopee, MA will be offering four one-day lectures in 2022 on the Five Keys to Freedom in Christ for those feeling overwhelmed, anxious, regrettable, angry, etc. The lectures include DVD presentations by Neal Lozano and a prayer team ministry for those who wish. The conferences will take place on January 15, April 2, July 16 and October 15, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the House of Prayer of Mary. Lunch is included with the $ 30 registration fee. Winter take-out dinner

Springfield – The Polish School at Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker Street, in the Indian Orchard section is having a winter dinner of cauliflower soup, chicken, potatoes, a coleslaw and dessert. The take-out-only dinner will take place on Sunday, January 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $ 18 per plate. Free weekly veterans lunch

Holyoke – Community Roots Neighborhood Services is offering a free hot breakfast to Veterans and their immediate adult families (parents or spouse). Lunches are held every Thursday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 485 Appleton St. Questions? Email Gina Nelson at [email protected]

Easthampton – The Baha’i Community of Western Mass./Southern Ver. Easthampton and others in alternation. Their regular Zoom programs also include La Pausa Devocional offered every two Saturdays at 10 am.
