Springfield – Foster Memorial Church is hosting its Drive-In fundraising event on Saturday, Jan. 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the church’s back parking lot. They will collect non-perishable foods for the open pantry. The church is located at 1791 Wilbraham Road in the Sixteen Acres section.
Chicopee – The UNBOUND Ministry team at Mary’s House of Prayer, 202 East Main St., Chicopee, MA will be offering four one-day lectures in 2022 on the Five Keys to Freedom in Christ for those feeling overwhelmed, anxious, regrettable, angry, etc. The lectures include DVD presentations by Neal Lozano and a prayer team ministry for those who wish. The conferences will take place on January 15, April 2, July 16 and October 15, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Maison de Prayer de Marie. Lunch is included with the $ 30 registration fee. Winter take-out dinner
Springfield – The Polish School at Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker Street, in the Indian Orchard section is having a winter dinner of cauliflower soup, chicken, potatoes, a coleslaw and dessert. The take-out-only dinner will take place on Sunday, January 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $ 18 per plate. Springfield Walk for Life
Springfield – On Wednesday, January 19, pro-lifers from the Pro-Life area of Pioneer Valley and the Diocese of Springfield will be holding a March for Life. March activities will include a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Cathedral, 260 State Street, Springfield, a Walk for Life immediately following Mass (approximately 11 a.m.) and lunch will be served at the Bishop Marshall Center. For those who cannot walk, a pro-life rosary will immediately follow Mass. Free weekly veterans lunch
